According to the alkaline diet, one of the typical problems of modern nutrition, consisting mainly of packaged, refined and processed foods, animal proteins and sugars, is that it tends to have an acidifying effect on the body with health consequences that can lead to the risk of disease inflammatory. Here, it would be good to insert foods that can bring the pH back to alkalinity and thus balance the body. Stress can be counted among the causes of acidification of the body. Other factors such as smoking, drug taking, sedentary life, dehydration and alcoholic beverages may be added to it. The recommended foods are undoubtedly healthy and their properties have been confirmed by various researches that have measured the characteristics and benefits of the body. If a food has an important content of alkaline minerals, such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, it is likely that it will be alkaline to the body. Among the foods considered to have the most alkalizing power there is grape. It is for this reason that it is often the basis of detoxifying diets to rebalance and purify the body. Among the alkalizing foods you can include among others: spinach, celery, carrots, dried figs, cucumbers, bean sprouts, lettuce, radishes, Bruxelless sprouts, cauliflower and mushrooms. They are alkalinizing condiments: ginger, chili pepper, curry, sage, rosemary, fennel seeds and cumin seeds. They are cereals (or similar cereals) alkalizing the quinoa, millet and amaranth. In general, foods containing sugar and yeast, are fermented, refined, cooked to microwave or heavily treated foods. Most cereals are considered acidifying. Among them are spelled, wheat, barley, oats, rice, rye, corn and their derivatives, including pasta and bread.
