Skin aging
Skin aging is a set of various mechanisms that work in unison, clinical, histopathological, etiologic, biochemical and physiological, metabolic and structural skin.
Photoaging or dermatoeliosis reflected mainly on DNA, and the environment determines the wear and damage in the life of individual. It means the combination of skin changes induced by chronic and prolonged sun exposure which add up with the changes determined on the age.
Solar radiation, UVB reach the skin, with a wavelength between 290-320 nm, and 320-400 nm UVA, penetrate deep and can affect the proteins of the dermis and are responsible for photoaging and photocarcinogenesis.
The effects of sunlight reflected on the density, maturation, metabolism, morphology of the skin cells, deposition of extracellular matrix (elastin, collagen, glycosaminoglycans, proteoglycans). The ultraviolet radiation have effects on the deposition of elastic and collagen, modulating the transcription of these proteins, the main constituents of the extracellular matrix of the dermis.
Important is to control exposure to the sun with sunblock and schedules recommended.
.The Chrono-aging today encloses two poles theoretical:
first group sees theories “programmatic”, senescence (programmed), as a result of genetic programming, own of each cell that makes up the individual. It is due to genetic factors, metabolic, hormonal changes, which appear over time.
The reduction of type I collagen, especially in particular areas of the face such as the eyelids and related on age.
Second group sees aging as a result of errors and damage (stochastic degenerativ process ) that accumulate in the life of the individual (exogenous factors, environmental and endogenous create degeneration).
Oxidative damage: the metabolic reactions involving the intervention of oxygen, producing free radicals, highly reactive molecules capable of destroying cell membranes and compromising vital functions. The free radicals are oxygen compounds, create chemical reactions and pelt proteins, cell membranes, DNA. These reactions are countered by the body by antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, E, enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), the cataclasi and glutathione peroxidase.
Another theory believes that serious damage is due to the formation of crosslinking in the molecules of DNA. During the aging presents an increased collagen deposition that would hinder gas exchange necessary for normal cell metabolism (theory fibrosis) . Even chromosomal abnormalities, onset of senile, lead to a gradual increase of molecules “incorrect”.
Aging is a complex phenomenon and can not be traced to a single cause but to a multiplicity of processes.
Some basic precautions and treatments:
Prevention and internal moisture, about 1.5 liters of water a day.
The antioxidant effect of vitamin A, C and E, magnesium and selenium;
#Cosmetics appropriate with specific active ingredients, #cosmeceuticals and Sun block,
Beauty treatments.
Specific medical treatments: chemical peels, bio-revitalization, fillers, microneedling.
PERIODIC CHECKS OF BLOOD, MAMMOGRAMS AND ANYTHING ELSE. GYMNASTICS, PROPER HEALTHY FOOD, AND MUCH SERENITY.
ONLY SUPERFICIALITY IF NOT WITH A CLEAN HEART AND A BIG SMILE WITH EMPATHY.
